Causes of Gonorrhea

Gonorrhea is bacterial infection, it is caused by a bacterium known as Neisseria gonorrhoeae. This bacteria can be grow in human's urethra, cervix , uterus, vagina, eye, mouth, anus and other mucus membranes. The main cause of this disease is sexual transmission of this bacteria. Sexual transmission is either by vaginal sex, anal sex or oral sex.

It can be spread easily by saliva, and mucus, oral sex is also the main cause of spreading, also if one rubbed at infectected place then rub on another part of body it can spread.

It is second most infected sexually transmitted disease in United State of America. it can also transmitted to the fetus, from mother to baby, that is if mother is infected by Neisseria gonorrhoeae , then it can be reach to the newborn baby by placenta.

It is found that men has 20% chance to get infection from female counterpart by vaginal intercourse.

And female has 40-60% chance of getting infection from her male counter part through vaginal intercourse.

but the chance of getting infection to the male from his male counterpart is higher.

Gonorrhea is a common sexually transmitted disease, caused by the bacteria known as Neisseria gonnorrhoeae. this disease can be transmitted by anyone who has sexual disease. Neisseria bacteria can be transmitted by the contact of mouth, vagina, penis, or anus.

this bacteria can be grow in human urethra, cervix, uterus etc.

this disease can be transmitted to those person who have multiple sex partners, who not using condoms during sexual intercourse. both male and female are prone to having this disease.

sexually transmitted disease is caused by bacteria,virus,and parasites. they are may be treated or not. the germs that cause STDs may be spread by any form of vaginal sex, anal sex or mouth sex and the infected body fluid from the infected patients, which came in contact with healthy individual through mucus membrane then it transmits disease.


STDs caused by bacterias are


Gonorrhea:- is caused by bacterium Neisseria gonorrhoeae.

syphilis:- is caused by the spirochete bacterium Treponema pallidum.

chlamydia:- is caused by the bacterium Chlamydia trachomatis.

these STDs can be cured with antibiotics.


STDs caused by viruses are


HIV/AIDS:- is caused by the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV).

Genital herpes:- is caused by Herpes simplex virus. 

Genital warts:- is caused by some sub-types of human papillomavirus (HPV).

these STDs can be controlled but cant be cured.


STDs caused by parasites are



Scabies:- is caused by visible parasite, the mite Sarcoptes scabiei.

Trichomoniasis:- is caused by caused by the single-celled protozoan parasite Trichomonas vaginalis.

Pubic lice:- is caused by an insect crab louse (Pthirus pubis) that is an obligate ectoparasite of humans.

sexual intercourse has different definition by different people but it is mainly define as "the insertion of  male penis into female vagina for having pleasure and orgasm or to have baby by making female pregnant.

It is defined as the transmission of infection from a infected body to a healthy body by means of sexual behavior that is vaginal, oral and anal sex or in other words we can say transmission of disease by semen, blood,saliva and other body fluids.
